The Core Curriculum preparation materials cost $195 for members and the CHFP application and examination fee is $395.  The study materials for the examination are available through HFMAs eLearning program and can be found on HFMA's website.  Go to www.hfma.org and click on Education & Events on the top of the screen.

Self study guides and corresponding exams are always updated and do not expire.  You will have access to online materials for 1 year from the date of purchase.

The exam can be taken anywhere in the state, at a time and location convenient to you.  HFMA is working with Castle Worldwide to administer the Core Curriculum certification exam.  Castle Worldwide offers many convenient testing locations.  Exams are scheduled directly with Castle. Upon successful completion of the Core Curriculum exam you will receive your CHFP Certificate from Castle and will be entitled to use the CHFP designation after your name.   If you do not pass the exam the retest fee is $200 (not covered by the Florida Chapter).

You will retain your CHFP designation as long as you remain an active member of HFMA and show proof of earning 90 professional education hours every three years. This maintenance requirement helps you remain current in your field and will also be an asset to your career. You can meet this requirement through participating in structured learning activities offered though HFMA National, your local HFMA chapter, your employer, or other professional organizations.
