Joanne is currently the Vice President of Finance/CFO of Bethesda Healthcare System the parent company for Bethesda Memorial Hospital, a 401-bed not-for-profit facility in Boynton Beach, Florida. Ms. Aquilina is responsible for the financial operations of the System including accounting, but not limited to, budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, patient accounting, reimbursement, decision support, debt financing, cash flow management, investments, medical records and oversight of the joint venture Home Health Agency. Joanne is a member of the Hospital's executive council and actively participates in the formulation and oversight of Hospital policies and procedures.

Joanne received a Bachelor in Accounting Degree from Florida International University in 1993. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and serves as the Chapter President on the Board for the Florida Chapter of Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA).

Mimi Taylor is Corporate VP, IT and Chief Information Officer for Baptist Health South Florida in Coral Gables. Ms. Taylor started her career at Baptist Health in 1991 as Manager of Managed Care and Decision Support Systems in the Finance department. She was promoted to Director of Information Systems in 1993 and in 1994 was promoted into her current role as CIO. She now manages a staff of over five hundred technology professionals and is responsible for the information technology strategic planning, system selection and implementation, process re-engineering, telemedicine, broadcasting, and computer support functions for Baptist Health. She also oversees an annual operating budget of $150 million and an annual capital budget of $50 million. Prior to joining Baptist Health South Florida, Mimi held computer consulting and auditing positions with the “Big 4” firms of Ernst & Young and Coopers & Lybrand. Mimi received her Bachelors of Arts from Boston College.

Ms. Taylor is a member of the College for Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME), the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS), and a graduate fellow of the International Women’s Foundation.

David Sierra is Assistant Director of Reimbursement for Memorial Healthcare System (MHS) in Hollywood, Florida. David currently serves the Florida Chapter as Immediate Past President as well as serving as the Chair of the LINK Committee.

Previous to joining MHS, David held directorship and managerial positions with the international healthcare consulting firms of Johnson & Johnson and Ernst & Young. David is an advanced member of the FL Chapter of the HFMA, where he has held several leadership positions over the years including Editor-in-Chief of Sunspots and founder and first Chair of the FL Chapter’s Third Party Reimbursement Committee (now the Governmental Reimbursement & Regulations Committee). David attained his Certified Public Accountant certification in 1992 and is a recipient of the HFMA’s Follmer Gold Merit Award.

In addition to his responsibilities at Memorial, David is an active volunteer in its many fundraising and community outreach activities including the Memorial Classic Auction and Memorial Foundation’s annual Radiothon to benefit Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.

Renee Jordan is a partner in the law firm of Bacen & Jordan, P. A., a healthcare recovery law firm with principle offices in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Renee has extensive experience in litigating healthcare providers’ claims in the area of Managed Care, ERISA, Worker’s Compensation, Hospital Liens, Probate and Bankruptcy. Renee is a current member of the Florida Hospital Association, HFMA and AAHAM. She is also the current Legal Affairs Chair to the Florida HFMA chapter and Legal Advisor / Board of Director to the Buccaneer and South Florida Chapters of AAHAM.  Renee is the author of several healthcare reimbursement articles for the HFMA and AAHAM publications. She also regularly lectures at seminars on the topics of third party reimbursement and compliance with State and Federal Statutes.

Cathy Yoder is the Vice President of Finance/Chief Financial Officer for the St Josephs Hospitals in Tampa, and South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City.  These facilities are members of the BayCare Health System which is an alliance of 9 hospitals in the Tampa Bay area. 

Cathy’s background includes public accounting experience as well as various financial positions in healthcare organizations.  She received her BS in Finance from the University of South Florida.  Cathy is a CPA, a member of the FICPA, AICPA and HFMA and currently serves as the Treasurer for the Florida Chapter of HFMA.
