Don't miss the Thursday, June 14, afternoon break-out session, programmed by your very own HFMA FL Chapter!
Title: Disaster Preparedness – Compliance and Revenue Risks
Description: Did you know that approximately 98% of federally declared disasters are weather related? If your healthcare facility is not equipped to effectively respond, not only will you risk losing long-tenured goodwill in the community, but significant revenue, as well. All agree, effective emergency management is essential to the safety of staff, patients, and the hospital’s financial health. However, many providers are still scrambling to meet all of CMS’ emergency preparedness requirements. Attend this session to help assess your readiness and to consider the effects on your overall operations and reimbursement.
The 12th Annual Healthcare Summit of the South Florida Hospital & Healthcare Association, with the backdrop of events in 2017, and now 2018, will showcase the impacts of emergency management readiness across all lines of business operations for healthcare providers.
What will you learn?
This two-day, intensive event will focus on varied areas of healthcare business operations impacting emergency management and preparedness, to include finance & reimbursement. Featuring recognized experts and presentations, you will receive a comprehensive overview of the responses from recent events in Puerto Rico, Houston, Las Vegas, Key West, Orlando and now Broward. Breakout sessions for each respective professional track will provide continuing education credit opportunities (ACHE, HFMA, ISACA, HIMSS, nursing CMEs, nursing home admin, ems, supply chain).
