REIMBURSEMENT & LEGISLATIVE FORUM

The purpose of the Reimbursement & Legislative Forum is to provide members with access to web based and in-person education programs that are timely and relevant to the work that forum members are involved in.  

The Reimbursement Forum held webinars on the following topics over the past several months:

Reporting Medicaid Denial & Payment Issues Using the AHCA Complaint PortalFina

Financial Assistance Policy & Community Needs Assessment

While both programs were well attended, the Reporting Medicaid Denials presentation by Kim Streit of the Florida Hospital Association maxed out the Forum's Webex capacity and some meeting attendees were unable to view the presentation.   If anyone would like the presentation from this meeting, send your request to me at tmagri@bhinc.org and will send it to you.

The following webinars are being planned and will cover the following topics

Medicaid:  What You Need to Know to Protect Your Hospital - Presented By Joanne Erde of Duane Morris - This seminar is scheduled for May 11th at 2pm.  It will address the changes that have been imposed upon appeals by Medicaid rates.  This will include a detailed discussion of what providers should do when they receive new rates, how to file appeals, and what to do if new rates are not issued timely.   

LinkedIN - A representative from LinkedIN will discuss how to optimize your profile and how to use this networking tool effectively. (Time TBD)

OP CDI: How to Determine if it is Right for Your Facility - This presentation will provide an overview of OP CDI and what it means for payment and denial avoidance (Early May)
